Raisin Puff Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 c. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. allspice or apple pie spice
Preparation
    Cook raisins in water until soft; drain and cool.
    Mix together and cream the margarine, sugar and eggs.
    Mix remaining ingredients well and add to the creamed margarine mixture.
    Add 1/2 cup nuts if desired.
    Gently fold in the drained raisins.
    Roll into balls; roll dough balls in sugar.
    Place dough balls on ungreased baking sheets and bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    These are like a soft Snickerdoodle only with raisins.
