Ingredients

1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
2 c. commercial egg nog
1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
5 or more Tbsp. rum
1 c. whipping cream, whipped
lingon berries or raspberry sauce
Preparation

Soften gelatin in water.
Combine egg nog, sugar and cornstarch in a heavy pan.
Heat until it steams.
Remove from heat and add gelatin, stirring to blend.
Stir in rum. Refrigerate until the pudding begins to set.
Fold in whipped cream and turn into a decorative serving bowl.
Refrigerate until served.
Spoon preserved lingon berries over the pudding or serve with a favorite fruit sauce.
Serves 6 to 8.
