Crackling Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. cracklings
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Combine

    egg and bacon drippings.
    Stir until dry ingredients are moist.\tSpoon batter into a preheated greased 9 x 5 x 2-inch loaf
    pan.\tBake
    at 450\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Note:
    Cornbread may be baked at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes in a preheated greased 10-inch iron skillet.
