Apple-Raisin Betty - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. pared, cored and sliced apples, cooked
1/3 c. raisins (optional)
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. water
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. corn flakes, crushed to 1/2 c.
1/3 butter, softened
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0; grease an 8-inch square baking pan. Place apples and raisins in pan.
Combine lemon juice and water. Sprinkle over fruit.
Mix together flour, sugar and spices; blend thoroughly.
Stir in corn flakes.
Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake about 35 minutes or until apples are tender and top is lightly browned.
Serve warm.
Makes 6 (1/2 cup) servings.
