Dark Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 mixed fruits
2 lb. raisins
2 lb. walnuts
2 lb. pecans
2 lb. flour
2 lb. butter
2 lb. sugar
2 lb. figs
2 lb. cherries
2 lb. coconut
1 1/2 doz. eggs
12 tsp. cinnamon
8 tsp. cloves
7 tsp. nutmeg
7 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Prepare the fruits and nuts.
Roll fruits and nuts in flour. Sift the flour, then mix together the remains of flour and spices. Cream the butter and sugar.
Mix the well beaten egg yolks and dried ingredients.
Fold in egg whites.
Makes 2 large fruit cakes.
Steam 3 hours, then bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
