No Weep Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In small saucepan, mix the sugar, cornstarch and water.
    Cook until thick.
    Cool completely.
    Beat egg whites, salt and vanilla until stiff in separate bowl.
    Add cooled mixture and beat until smooth and stiff peaks form.
    Spread over cream pie filling of your choice, sealing to the edge of the pie crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until golden light brown.
