Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
few grains salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Place sugar, syrup, water and salt in a saucepan over low heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved, then cook without stirring to 252\u00b0 (very firm ball).
Just before syrup reaches 252\u00b0, beat the egg whites until stiff, but not dry.
Wipe the crystals from the pouring edge of the pan.
Pour the syrup in a very fine stream over the egg whites, beating constantly while pouring.
Do not scrape bottom of pan.
Continue beating until the mixture holds its shape.
Add vanilla and nuts.
