Pennsylvania Dutch Pie Crust(From Home Economics Teacher'S Cookbook) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (cut in half)
1 1/4 c. shortening
5 Tbsp. ice water
1 egg
1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation

Sift flour and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
(In Cuisinart, mix first 3 ingredients, then add the rest.)
Beat water, egg and vinegar together; stir into flour mixture.
Shape into a ball.
Chill.
Turn out on floured board; roll to fit pie pan.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in 425\u00b0 oven for a pie shell.
Otherwise, follow the time set for chosen kind of pie.
