Quick And Hearty Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
5 c. water
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
3/4 c. quick barley
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. carrots
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. basil
1 bay leaf
Preparation
-
In Dutch oven, brown meat, onion and garlic until tender; drain.
Stir in all remaining ingredients, except frozen vegetables.
Cover and bring to boil.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Add frozen vegetables and simmer 10 more minutes.
