Country-Fried Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. boneless round steak, cut in pieces
    1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 small onions, sliced
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. brewed coffee
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Trim fat from steak; pound to 1/4-inch thickness using a meat mallet.
    Combine 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
    Dredge steak in flour mixture.
    Cook steak in hot oil in skillet until browned, turning steak once.
    Add sliced onion and water; cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until tender.
