Mother'S Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans Italian-style stewed tomatoes, cut in chunks
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. Wondra flour
    1 c. water
    1 qt. milk
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Heat the
    tomatoes
    and juice in a medium size saucepan until hot.
    Add
    the
    baking soda to the hot tomatoes and stir well. The
    soda prevents the soup mixture from curdling.
    Put the water in a small bowl or jar; add the flour and stir until it is very smooth.
