Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. coconut
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except egg whites and mix well. Stiffly beat and then fold in egg whites.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Let cake cool.
    Makes 3 (8-inch) layers.
