Savory Corn Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
3/4 c. self-rising flour
2 Tbsp. cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
dash of pepper
1/2 c. chopped green bell peppers
1 (15 oz.) can cream-style corn
1 (8 oz.) pkg. bacon (10 slices), crisply cooked and crumbled
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 2-quart casserole.
In a large bowl, combine milk and egg yolks; blend well.
Lightly spoon flour into a measuring cup; level off.
Add flour, cornmeal, baking powder and pepper; beat until smooth.
Stir in green pepper, corn and bacon.
In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold into corn mixture.
Pour into dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 70 minutes or until center is firm.
Serves 8.
