Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. Karo syrup
    1/3 c. Wesson oil
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add corn meal. Combine milk, well beaten egg, syrup and oil.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Mix just enough to moisten flour mixture.
    Pour into a greased square pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
