A Gallon Of Fruit Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head cabbage, shredded
2 or 3 medium carrots, peeled and shredded
1 large turnip (optional), peeled and shredded
3/4 c. raisins
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, chunks or rings, diced (drain and save juice)
2 large Red Delicious apples, cored, but not peeled
1 1/2 (8 oz.) jars Kraft coleslaw dressing
Preparation

Shred cabbage, carrots and turnip and place in a large container (12 quart for mixing purposes).
Add raisins, apples and drained pineapple.
Mix thoroughly.
Mix pineapple juice with Kraft dressing and pour over slaw.
Mix again so that the dressing is equally spread throughout.
Add additional dressing if more moistness is desired.
Store in a gallon jar or tightly closed container in the refrigerator to chill.
