Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. frying chicken
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 c. unsifted flour
    2 c. thinly sliced onion rings
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 lb. can tomatoes, drained
    8 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms or 1 can sliced mushrooms
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/8 tsp. basil
    rice or spaghetti (I usually use noodles)
Preparation
    Wash chicken.
    Pat dry.
    Add oil to large skillet.
    Coat chicken with flour.
    Brown quickly.
    Cover.
    Cook over medium heat about 15 minutes until tender.
    Remove chicken.
    Add onion slices, green pepper and garlic to skillet.
    Cook until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Remove chicken from bones in large pieces.
    Add chicken to sauce.
    Cover tightly.
    Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Serve with rice or spaghetti prepared according to package directions.
