Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    salt (optional)
Preparation
    Blend cornstarch and cold water.
    Add this to boiling water. Cook until clear. Let stand until completely cold.
    Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cornstarch mixture and beat on high speed, adding sugar gradually.
    This makes a nice meringue.
