Shrimp Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Duke's mayonnaise
    1/2 small to medium sized onion, chopped finely
    pinch of garlic powder
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 lb. frozen cooked shrimp, thawed, drained and chopped fine
    3/4 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 c. Duke's mayonnaise
    15 to 20 drops Tabasco sauce
    dash of red pepper (or more)
Preparation
    Mix first four ingredients in one bowl.
    Mix remaining ingredients, then add 2 mixtures together.
    Chill for 12 to 24 hours.
