Great Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter
    1 pkg. cream cheese
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs, unseparated
    1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring (lemon?, etc.)
Preparation
    In large bowl, put softened butter and cream cheese; blend together until creamy.
    Add eggs, one at a time; add sugar to this.
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder; slowly add these dry ingredients to the bowl.
    Mix together well.
    Add flavoring last.
    Pour batter (very stiff) into 1 greased and floured tube pan or two loaf pans.
    With knife, cut through cake batter in a circle.
    Do not touch bottom of pan.
    Place in center of rack and bake 1/2 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Turn oven down to 325\u00b0 and bake 1/2 hour more.
    Cool and remove from pan.
    Serve plain or add your favoring topping (optional).
