Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. plus 6 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    3 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers
    6 bananas
Preparation
    Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour and salt in double boiler.
    Stir in mixture of milk and beaten egg yolks. Cook over hot water until mixture thickens and coats spoon, stirring constantly.
    Stir in vanilla and cool.
