Three-Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 sweet onion, sliced
    1 to 1 1/4 c. celery, diced
    1 qt. yellow beans, drained
    1 qt. green beans, drained
    1 small can dark red kidney beans
    1 green or red sweet pepper, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix together the first 4 ingredients, then let the mixture stand while you slice the rest.
    Mix together all the vegetables, then add the vinegar mixture.
    Let it stand for 24 hours before serving.
