Roulade(Beef Rolls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 breakfast or round steaks
    salt and pepper
    mustard
    4 slices bacon
    4 dill pickles
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Beat steaks until thin.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spread mustard on one side (I do not beat meat).
    Lay a slice of bacon on top of the mustard on each steak.
    Place a pickle at one end of the steak and roll it.
    Tie or use pick to keep together. Melt shortening in a roasting pan and brown on all sides of the steak.
    Add water.
    Cover and cook in a preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Thicken the sauce with flour.
    Season with salt and pepper.
