Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
    3/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    2 c. (10 oz.) Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. brushed cornflakes
Preparation
    Defrost potatoes.
    Combine in large mixing bowl with 1/2 cup margarine.
    Season with salt and pepper and add onion, soup, sour cream and cheese.
    Blend ingredients thoroughly; pour into buttered 3-quart casserole.
    Mix remaining margarine with cornflakes.
    Sprinkle over potatoes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
    Note: You may also add 2 cups cooked ham (diced) or chicken (diced) to this recipe.
    It also freezes well.
