Ingredients

2 c. raw unskinned peanuts
1/3 c. water
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
Preparation

Put all ingredients in iron frying pan (9-inch).
Cook until sugar crystallizes on nuts.
Reduce heat and stir constantly with a heavy spoon as sugar melts on nuts.
Turn on a large greased platter; separate in small clusters or individual nuts as soon as cool enough to handle.
Yields 1 pound.
