Honey Or Sorghum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. raisins (optional)
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. mixed spices
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Stir in molasses or honey, beaten with eggs.
    Resift flour with other dry ingredients.
    Add other ingredients together, alternating with milk.
    Beat batter after each addition until well blended.
    Bake in a greased 9-inch tube pan in moderate oven for 22 to 45 minutes.
    Serve warm.
