Kolachy - Slovak Filled Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. margarine
    4 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. water
    4 c. flour
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    jam or preserves
Preparation
    Mix water, yeast and sugar.
    Let raise while making dough. Mix margarine and flour until crumbled.
    Add beaten egg yolks and mix well.
    Add to yeast mixture.
    Blend well.
    Place dough in refrigerator overnight.
    Roll out size of walnut on powdered sugar; place spoonful of filling (jam) in center and roll loosely. Sealing edges slightly, make into crescent shape on cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
