Mom'S Chicken Teriyaki - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 lb. each) chickens, cut up
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1 small garlic clove or garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    2 Tbsp. sliced green onion (for garnish)
Preparation
    Mix soy sauce, sugar, sherry, garlic and ginger.
    Brush bottom of pan with oil.
    Broil chicken in pan until golden.
    There is no need to season it.
    When chicken is golden, poke it with a kitchen fork and brush on teriyaki sauce.
    Turn a few times, brushing with sauce.
    Sprinkle with onion for garnish.
