No Crust Quiche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bacon
    4 c. onion, chopped
    16 eggs
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    6 c. milk
    2 lb. Gruyere cheese, diced
Preparation
    Saute bacon in skillet until partially cooked.
    Add onion and cook until onion is tender but not browned.
    Pour off most of the fat.
    In a separate bowl, combine eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg; beat well.
    Add milk and blend well.
    Spread onion mixture in 4 pie pans or 2 (13 x 9-inch) pans.
    Sprinkle evenly with cheese.
    Pour egg mixture over cheese.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
    Serves 24.
