Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 gal. vinegar or more if needed
    8 c. sugar
Preparation
    Fill gallon jar with cucumbers and cover with vinegar; add salt. Let set 6 weeks. Drain and wash twice. Cut into size you want. Put back in gallon jar; pour sugar over cucumbers and let stand until sugar is melted. May leave in gallon jar or put into several smaller jars.
