Red Pepper Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 doz. red peppers
    1 pt. vinegar
    1 1/2 lb. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Chop peppers fine; sprinkle with salt.
    Let stand 3 or 4 hours.
    Rinse well, then cover with sugar and vinegar.
    Boil slowly until thick, stirring often to prevent sticking.
    Pour into hot jars; seal.
    Delicious with cream cheese and crackers.
