Pineapple Ice Box Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. melted butter
    1 tall can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 box vanilla wafers, crushed
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped, or 1 c. if desired
Preparation
    Melt the butter.
    Remove from stove and add pineapple, sugar, crushed wafers and chopped nuts.
    Crush enough extra wafers to put a thin layer in bottom of pyrex dish.
    Pour mixture in dish and add a thin layer of crushed wafers on top.
    Place in refrigerator to cool.
    Serve in square blocks with Cool Whip if desired.
    This is enough for about 12 servings.
