Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar gradually.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating each time.
    Add vanilla.
    Add soda to milk.
    Add flour and milk alternately to other ingredients.
    Bake in a tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    Frost, if desired.
    May be frozen.
