Fast Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 large can sliced peaches (in heavy syrup)
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine margarine, peaches and 1 cup sugar; boil until slightly darker than natural.
    Meanwhile, combine milk, vanilla, flour and 1/2 cup sugar in a mixing bowl; pour this batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Then pour boiled peach mixture on top of batter. Bake until top browns at 400\u00b0.
