Registry Resort'S Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. butter
    1/3 c. corn syrup
    2 1/2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
    1 3/4 c. eggs (about 9 large)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa powder
    1 1/4 c. walnuts
    1 3/4 to 2 c. cake flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and butter until light and fluffy. Add corn syrup.
    Mix and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
    Add melted chocolate; mix well.
    Scrape down the sides of the bowl again.
    Gradually add eggs, mixing well.
    Stir the remaining ingredients together; stir into the batter, mixing only until ingredients are incorporated.
    Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 18 brownies.
