Old Fashion Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs
3/4 c. lard
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Preparation

Mix eggs with lard, then add other ingredients.
Let set in refrigerator for 1 1/2 hours.
Roll out onto flour covered wax paper.
Shape into cake size and lay in greased and floured cake pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Make 4 to 5 layers.
Then add dried apples or fried apples to each layer.
You can also make Christmas cookies out of this recipe.
