Apple Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. baking apples, peeled, cored and sliced (about 4 c.)
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. old-fashioned or quick oats
    2/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Arrange apple slices in greased 8-inch round dish.
    Sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice.
    Combine oats, sugar, cinnamon and nuts; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add nuts; mix.
    Crumble mixture over apple slices.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
