Never Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Dissolve together cornstarch and water.
    Add boiling water. Cook until thick and clear; cool.
    Beat egg whites until they stand in soft peaks, then beat into cold cornstarch.
    Beat until firmer peaks are formed.
    Gradually add sugar; beat, beat, beat until firm peaks form.
    Add vanilla; beat in.
    Put on pie.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
