Southern Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut into pieces
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Place buttermilk in shallow bowl.
    Combine flour, salt and pepper in plastic bag.
    Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk; place 2 or 3 pieces at a time in bag.
    Shake to coat.
    In a large, deep frying pan, place oil and heat at 375\u00b0.
    Add chicken pieces (do not crowd); cook until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels before serving.
    Serves 6.
