Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 medium bananas (ripe)
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream oleo and sugar.
Add mashed bananas and well beaten egg yolks.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add flour and milk alternately to first mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan or stem pan at 350\u00b0 for about 45 to 60 minutes.
Ice while still warm with a powdered sugar icing made with a little melted oleo or mashed bananas.
