Banana-Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    1/2 c. dates, chopped
    1 c. bananas (about 3 medium size)
Preparation
    Cream the shortening.
    Add sugar and blend thoroughly.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Add milk and part of flour and baking soda mixed.
    Beat bananas to a liquid and add quickly. With remaining flour, mix with dates and nuts and add to mixture. Bake 45 minutes at 325\u00b0 in a 9 x 14-inch Pyrex or in muffin tin or in loaf pans.
