Alabama Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. Crisco
3/4 c. warm milk
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Combine oil and warm milk.
Add milk mixture along with the yeast to dry ingredients.
Mix well by hand or dough hook.
If by hand, knead 5 to 7 minutes.
Roll out about 1/4-inch thick on floured board surface.
Cut with a small biscuit cutter.
Dip in melted butter.
Stack one on top of the other, forming one biscuit.
Let rise 1 hour and bake at 425\u00b0 until brown.
Use large size cutter to make hamburger buns.
