Italian Lasagne(Makes 8 To 10 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1/2 c. dry red wine (optional)
    8 oz. lasagne noodles
    2 eggs
    3 c. Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Brown sausage and meat; drain off fat.
    Add garlic, basil, salt (1 teaspoon), tomatoes, tomato paste and wine.
    Simmer, uncovered, about 30 minutes, stirring often.
    Cook lasagne noodles; drain.
    Beat eggs; add Ricotta or cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt (1 teaspoon) and pepper.
    Blend well.
    Layer 1/2 noodles in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread with 1/2 cheese mixture; add 1/2 Mozzarella and 1/2 meat sauce. Repeat.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes until bubbly.
    This freezes beautifully.
