Bananas Foster - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    3 large firm bananas
    1 (8 1/4 oz.) can sliced pineapple, drained
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. banana flavored liqueur
    1/4 c. light rum
    vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add sugar.
    Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.
    Peel bananas; slice crosswise, then quarter each piece lengthwise.
    Quarter each pineapple slice. Stir bananas, pineapple and cinnamon into brown sugar sauce. Cook over medium heat until bananas are slightly soft; baste constantly with sauce.
    Add liqueur; stir gently.
    Place rum in small, long-handled pan and heat until just warm.
    Ignite and pour over fruit.
    Serve immediately over ice cream.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
