Okra Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 large egg, lightly beaten
3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
2 c. fresh okra, sliced
vegetable oil
Preparation

Combine first nine ingredients (omitting oil).
Stir in okra. Pour oil in skillet to depth of 2 inches.
Heat to 350\u00b0.
Drop by tablespoons; fry to golden brown.
Frozen okra may be substituted for fresh.
