Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. chicken broth
1 pt. water
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 medium carrot, chopped fine
2 stalks celery, chopped fine
2 large potatoes, diced
parsley flakes (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. bacon bits (optional)
Preparation

Combine all ingredients
and cook in a large covered pot until vegetables are cooked done.
Then add small pieces of your favorite pot pie or dumpling recipes to the soup mixture and cook in the pot, uncovered, until they are done.
When dumplings have cooked through, add a pinch of soda and 1 pint of milk to the mixture.
Bring to a boil.
