Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    scant 1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sour milk
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. soda
    2 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    1 2/3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add
    egg
    and
    beat
    well. Sift flour and cocoa.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk and water.
    Add
    vanilla.
    Pour
    into\t2 floured and greased 8-inch cake pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
