Cucumber Pickles(Sweet) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. brined cucumbers
    2 qt. vinegar (for soaking)
    4 to 6 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed spices (pickle)
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar (for syrup)
Preparation
    Soak brined cukes in several changes of warm water to remove excess salt.
    Use a large needle to puncture each cucumber near the end and at the center.
    Cover with 1 part water and 3 parts vinegar.
    Let it stand a week.
