Favorite Fresh Fruit Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 or 10-inch) baked pie shell (Mrs. Smith's deep dish frozen is good)
    2 pt. whole strawberries or about 8 large fresh peaches
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. jello (raspberry for strawberries or peach flavor for peaches)
Preparation
    Fill the pie shell with fresh sliced fruit.
    In a saucepan, stir cornstarch (dry) into sugar and slowly add the water.
    Bring to a boil.
    It will turn clear in consistency.
    Remove from stove and quickly stir in the appropriate flavored jello.
    Stir well. Pour mixture over the fresh fruit and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
    Serve with whipped cream if desired.
