"Verne'S" Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter, melted in baking dish
    4 to 5 slices toasted bread, broken into pieces and dipped into butter
    3 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. milk, scalded
Preparation
    Whip together the eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla with a whisk. Mix the scalded milk with the sugar and egg mixture and pour over buttered bread in baking dish. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top. Bake in pan of water 35 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
