Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 3/4 lb. beef sirloin or round
    1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. onion, minced
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    salt and pepper
    3 to 4 Tbsp. cooking sherry (optional)
    1/3 c. sour cream
    frozen noodles
Preparation
    Prepare frozen noodles as per package directions. Cut meat into thin slices and dredge in flour.
    Brown quickly in skillet with 2 tablespoons margarine.
    Remove meat, add remaining margarine and saute the onions.
    Add meat, sprinkle all with salt and pepper.
    Add enough water to barely cover; simmer until tender.
    Add mushroom soup, sour cream and sherry.
    Heat thoroughly; add cooked, drained noodles; stir.
    Serves 4 to 6.
